Just another average native New Yorker. I'm a published artist, illustrator, cartoonist, plus I've self-published my own comics. Also: frustrated musician and mad mage with an obnoxious sense of humor.

Has a love/hate relationship with pop culture. Realizes that yes, pop culture is crappola a la mode. Still, it's a reflection upon current Western society. So what does pop culture really say about us?

Music, film and literature rocks my world. So does obscure 'underground/alternative/subcultures. History, philosophy and psychology also interest me. Comparative religions is a subject I've always been fascinated with, but I dare not to get involved in any kind of faith. So don't even try to convert me. Recently got into cooking, especially vegetarian dishes.

Very fond of animals. Sometimes I like animals better than most of the human species. I consider myself semi-misanthropic.

Back to music and film. I'll give anything with music a chance, but in the end I always go back to my first love...70's-80s New Wave/Goth/Punk/Post-Punk/Glam. Big fan of Industrial, Experimental, Noise and Neo-Folk genres.

My favorite bands are varied, but it ranges from Siouxsie and the Banshees, Throbbing Gristle, Skinny Puppy, Psychic TV, Death In June, Current 93, Devo, Nina Hagen, Killing Joke, The Beatles, Velvet Underground, Nico, Joan Jett, The Runaways, Plasmatics, Marc Almond, Culture Club/Boy George, (early) Human League, (early) David Bowie, T-Rex, Sweet, Hawkwind.

HUGE Love & Rockets fan. No, not the 80s band. Talking about the comic. Los Hernandez Bros. Also a fan of Peter Bagge, old EC comics, etc.

I'm showing my age when I say I prefer old Hanna Barbera cartoons over today's CGI.

Other things...Love vintage and retro fashions. Underground/Alternative comics from the '60s up until the '90s. Zine culture, mail art, wasting time on my iPhone apps, the internet and all of these social networks.
